Lasdanna
Lasdana is 15 kilometers from Bagh city. There is a metal unpaved road which leades to Lasdana however, that way is not so rough, one can reach in 30 to 45 minutes. There is tourism rest house in Lasdana constructed by tourism department. Keeping stay at this rest house, tourists can visit several beautiful places adjacent to Lasdana. These places include Mahmood Gali, Kahuta and kailer. All these places are just 15 to 20 kilometers away from Lasdana.
How to reach there?
The road to the summit was paved a few years ago, but now it is very poor. Most of the time, the road is accessible by passenger car and RV. It’s a narrow single road with a lot of curves and blind curves so takes some time. The winding road to the summit is called Lasdana – Mahmood Gali Road. The road has some steep parts, with a 17.7% of maximum gradient. At the top of the pass there’s a bar and a resort.
The road is 20.8 km (12.92 mile) long and runs north-south from Mahmood Gali to Nar Sher Ali Khan. It’s said to be the most attractive point in Rawalakot. The location of the place is stunning and it is surrounded by nice landscape. Remember the road is dangerous so be careful in rain and don’t go in the evening. The winter season lasts from November to March. The valley also experiences the rainy season from April to June.
